The school year of 2023-2024 is finally coming to an end. This year was filled with so many amazing schoolwide events and activities. Sports teams fighting their way to districts and state, school dances, fundraising events, concerts, club events, incredible pep rallies and assemblies, spirit weeks and pretty much anything you can think of.

Over the course of this year a great number of events have brought our school together in celebration and just good old school spirit. The first football game against Kentwood, the homecoming dance, senior night for every sport and concert, and every event in between. Lakes high school is home to hundreds of students that this year were involved in tons of different events including fundraising, athletics, clubs, and more. We have had some huge success’ this year such as the annual senior fundraiser Buff Puff where our Junior took the win, orchestra and choir concerts as well as the PLU invitational. Let’s take a closer look at some of our fantastic events this year. Our incredible staff has made it possible this year for a large number of events to happen as well so make sure to thank them. This year was full of last first games/matches, final concerts and final meetings. It’s the end of high school life and experience for those who are finishing off their senior year. Don’t forget to wish your class of 2024 Goodluck and congratulate them at their graduation this upcoming Thursday June 6th. It truly has been a wonderful year, and the up-and-coming summer is sure to be full of new memories.

And With That the 2023-2024 School year comes to an end. See you next year and congratulations and Goodluck to all of our seniors and we will see our returning student’s next fall.

My name is Quinn Stout. I’m a part of the class of 2025, I here from Wiesbaden Germany. I am a military brat and I have lived all over; this is my second time back in Lakewood/JBLM.
