JCLC

Last Wednesday through Saturday, cadets from JROTC attended the Junior Cadet Leadership Challenge (JCLC). This event was filled with fun and challenging activities that helped the cadets learn new skills and build confidence.

Exciting Activities:

Obstacle Course: The cadets tackled a tough obstacle course. They climbed over walls, crawled under nets, and jumped over hurdles. This course tested their physical strength and teamwork.

Confidence Course: This course was all about pushing limits. Cadets had to walk on high beams and swing across ropes. It was scary for some, but they supported each other and gained confidence with each step.

Land Navigation: Using maps and compasses, the cadets learned how to find their way in the woods. This activity taught them important skills in direction and problem-solving.

1SG Trail: The 1SG Trail was a challenging hike led by a First Sergeant. The trail included various tasks and tests along the way. It was a great way for the cadets to show their endurance and teamwork.

Learning and Growth Throughout the JCLC, cadets learned valuable lessons in leadership, cooperation, and perseverance. They supported each other through difficult tasks and celebrated their successes together. By the end of the event, many cadets felt more confident and ready to take on new challenges.

Fun and Friendship Despite the hard work, the cadets also had a lot of fun. They made new friends from different schools and shared stories around the campfire at night. The laughter and camaraderie made the experience even more memorable. Overall, the JCLC was a fantastic opportunity for the JROTC cadets. They returned home with new skills, stronger friendships, and great memories that will last a lifetime.
