Big Moves in Seattle Football

Big Moves in Seattle Football

This fall the Seahawks with a record of 9-8 didn’t make the playoffs with the win from the Green Bay Packers. Husky football went undefeated and won the pac-12 conference for the first time in pac-12 history, finishing in college football ranked #2 and making the playoffs. After Washington’s loss to the Michigan in the CFP championship game and ending the year 14-1, the Huskies are now leaving the pac-12 going to the big-10 with Oregon and Colorado.

The Seattle Seahawks have moved on from the 14-year head coach Pete Carrol. With no head coach what will happen with seahawks? Right now, the Seahawks are now interviewing many different defensive and offensive coordinators looking at who would be a good fit for the Seahawks. Some big names are Cowboys DC Dan Quinn, Panthers DC Ejiro Evero, Rams DC Raheem Morris. The Seahawks are still interviewing many other coaches, even those in the playoffs. John Schneider saying that many coaches would come to this team because of their young core. With the seahawks missing of the playoffs and with the interdiction of a new coach how will this change the seahawks play. With the draft coming up and the high QB room coming with this draft. Will the seahawks move on from Geno smith? Will they be adding more young talent to the line to protect Geno or will they build their young defense. The possibility of trading their pick is also a possibility with them having pick 16 right in the middle of the first round.

The Huskies with an amazing 2023 season going undefeated and making the CFB Championship. The Huskies look very promising, but they have now lost their Starting Qb, WR, and RB to the 2024 NFL draft. The Alabama coach Nick Saban has now retired. The Alabama strong and young team that also made the CFB is looking for a coach. The huskies coach Kalen DeBoer, that led the Huskies in the last two years to a 25- 3 record. The Huskies have now left for the crimson tide with their vacant coach spot. With the leaving of their coach a third of the huskies have entered the transfer portal. A notable name is the QB Will Rogers a senior that transferred and committed from Mississippi to the Huskies when the portal opened, but with the leaving of Kalen DeBoer also came the leaving of Will Rogers. And with no coach Huskies went for the Arizona coach Jedd Fisch, he’s been coaching for 21 years. With a coach that has a lot of experience, the Arizona RB, and QB has committed to Washington and Will rogers recommitted to Washington.

The future of Seattle sports is bright, we’ll see how this turns out with all the changes now.
