Kali Uchis Colombian American singer and songwriter born in Alexandria Virginia her real name is Karly Marina Loaiza but adopted her artist name Kali Uchis due to her dad having that nickname for her , Kali started by playing jazz music in high school her intentions at that time weren’t to be a singer but at the age of 17 she was kicked out of her house due to skipping class and breaking her curfew this led to her living in her car that’s when she started to make music with her keyboard eventually Kali returned home and dropped her first mixtape “Drunken Babble” which got the attention from Tyler the creator and Snoop Doog and started to work with them.
In 2015 Kali released her EP “Por Vida” which led her to sign with InterScope records, in 2018 Kali released her debut album “Isolation” which had a lot of good reviews and plays Kali said the people from her team were against her for wanting to release her album in Spanish but even with the negative support from her team she still decided to release it. Her Second Album “Sin Miedo” was released in 2020, in 2023 Kali Uchis released “Red moon in Venus” album which explored all levels of love and reflects the divine femininity of the moon and Venus.
