among us

A game called “Among Us” was launched on June 15, 2018 by the production company, InnerSloth. Recently, the game “Among Us has been going through social media platforms and has been getting publicity due to many famous streamers and other celebrities playing this game on a regular basis. Among us is an online deduction game where players are in a space-based theme environment where several players can play the part of crewmates while there is a default imposter/s between them. The goal of the crew members is to find, delete and complete operations around the Impostors map; the purpose of the Impostors is to covertly disrupt and kill the crew members before they complete all their tasks. Players accused of being impostors can be disqualified by a majority vote, which can be triggered by either player at any time. If all impostors are omitted or all tasks are finished, the crewmates win and the impostors win if there is an equal number of impostors and crewmates, or if the critical sabotage goes unsolved.

Crew members are given “tasks to complete the map in the form of minigames at the beginning of the game, consisting of maintenance work on vital systems such as electrical rewiring and refueling of engines. Impostors are given a false list of tasks to blend in with crewmates, but they cannot perform any tasks. Impostors can sabotage critical systems, fly through air vents covertly, and collaborate with other tasks.” By performing all tasks, or by recognizing and eliminating all impostors, the crewmates win. If the number of impostors is equal to the number of crewmates, or when the sabotage timer reaches zero, the impostors win. Ghosts help perform tasks (as a crewmate) or deception (as an impostor) by their living teammates. There is always an inevitable result where an Impostor sabotages (like all the lights are turned off or a timer begins. If the sabotage is not fixed before the countdown is finished, the Impostors can win. Sabotages will be overcome in a variety of ways by living people based on which sabotage is performed. If any winning condition is fulfilled, games can also end with players quitting the match; a game is ended by performing all tasks, or by recognizing and eliminating all impostors, the crewmates win. There are a variety of monitoring systems on each map to help crewmates detect impostors, such as the Skeld security camera system, the Mira HQ door log, and the Polus vital indicator. By executing visual acts that cannot be faked by impostors, crewmates can also assert their identity. By announcing a dead body or by pressing a button on the map at any time (except when sabotage is underway), any living player may call a group meeting. Any other gameplay will be disrupted by this. At the conference, based on the evidence present, players discuss whether they believe to be an impostor. A majority vote is taken, and the player chosen is ejected and dies from the map.
