Books Recommended by Teachers

Right now, we need something to do while we wait for this pandemic to end. Reading is the best way because it can reduce stress levels, in a study done by the University of Sussex, reading can reduce stress levels by 68% out of other variety of relaxing methods, such as listening to music, going for a walk, and having a cup of tea. Reading can also help you sleep better, according to Mayo Clinic, creating a bedtime routine that includes reading from a book will help you sleep better.

When we asked teachers about books that they recommend, 2 staff members recommended the same book which is The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas. To quote on of them “It is a fresh contemporary novel that has been brought into the spotlight with the social injustice and unrest in the country that is The Hate U Give.” The list of Lancer Reads can be found down below and if you would like more information these books, just click on this link. There is nothing like a good book to help you escape from your problems, and I hope these books are appealing to you.
