Perspective Between Lakes and Clover Park High School

Going into my senior year of high school, I have decided to transfer to Clover Park High School. Although the school year has just begun, I have noticed some big differences between Clover Park and Lakes.

Firstly, the guidance office. Clover Park has four guidance counselors (one for each grade level) that filter through your high school career with you and only your grade level. I find this to be much easier for students and counselors to communicate with each other about classes, credits, and other information per individual grade level (which are all different of course).

Another big difference I noticed is the teachers. Clover Park seems to have way more teachers than Lakes, they are also much younger. Sometimes age is a point of conflict between student and teacher because a student may not feel like their teacher “understands”, but having youthful teachers makes for a more understanding environment.

Now, Lakes and Clover Park may be more similar than you think. The bell schedule is the same, as well as all the lunches. Also, for the most part, the rules regarding off-campus, bathrooms, tardies, etc. are the same.
