Summer Activities in Washington

Kristin Pyle, Reporter

We live in the perfect state for fun summer adventures. Whatever it is that piques your interest, I am sure there is something in Washington that you would enjoy this upcoming summer break.

Personally, I love the outdoors. Some fun options for getting outside would be lake days, hiking, scenic drives, or camping.

Here are some locations:

  • Lake Cushman
  • Lake Cresent
  • Olympic National Park
  • Mount Rainer National Park
  • Mountain Loop Highway

If none of those options suit you there will also be a lot of festivals and markets. Going with a group of friends would be fun.

  • Puyallup Farmers’ Market
  • The Olympia Farmers’ Market
  • Pike Place Market
  • Lakewood Farmers’ Market (Every Tuesday from 2-7 until September 19th)
  • Beyond Wonderland PNW 2023 (June 17-18)
  • Summer Meltdown in Darington, WA (July 28-31)

If you plan to stay near home, there are many options for that as well.

  • Have a picnic
  • BBQ with friends and family
  • Paint
  • Read a book outside
  • Movie nights

These are just a few of many options. Have fun this summer and be safe!
