Tina Turner passed on May 24th; her cause of death has just been revealed to be of natural causes. Tina Turner was most known for being a music icon. Her music was very popular back in the 1970’s- 1980s, she was also very well known for being the lead singer of the Ike & Tina turner revue Before she started her solo career. Tina Turner will be remembered as a strong woman with a passion for music, she leaves behind her last living child Ike Turner Jr and her husband Erwin Bach.

Tina Turner had three children, three boys Ike Jr Turner, Raymond Turner, And Ronnie Turner. A very popular song by Tina Turner was “what’s love got to do with it” which was later turned into the 1993 film “what’s love got to do with it” which was based on Tina Turners’ life. Angela Bassett who was an actress in the film expressed her loss and sadness and love for Tina Turner and her passing. Tina Turner was only 83 years old, and she was in Küsnacht, Switzerland where she lived at the time of her passing. Tina and Erwin Bach got married after being together for 27 years and have been married since 2013.

Another iconic moment of Tina Turner is when she was the infamous “we are the world” song the first original song that was written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie. Tina Turner went through a lot; she was with an abusive spouse and lost a lot of self love because of it. Before her passing Tina Turner spoke out about what she truly went through, expressing how she felt as though she lost herself. How she hated herself which is what a lot of domestic violence victims go through. Another thing Tina Turner was remembered for was her divorcing Ike but keeping his last name.

Tina Turner already made a name for herself ‘Tina Turner’ everyone remembered her as Tina Turner and Ike trademarked the name so that it can be given to someone else if Tina left the band. But during the divorce the courts ruled that Tina Turner should be allowed to keep her name. That’s all she got to keep, that’s all she wanted, her name, she didn’t take any money or the house just her name.

Tina Turner was very strong in a number of ways; she was an amazing singer and performer and brought life to the stage and went through what some people can’t even imagine. She will always be remembered as a live person with great stage presence and personality that was loved by her friends, family, and supporters.
