Everyone has something that brings them back to their childhood, but what brings Lakes High School back to theirs? We asked students and staff what their favorite childhood book and TV series were. Here’s some of your fellow Lancers responses:

Starting with all three of our guidance counselors here, Mr. Stella said his favorite show was the 1986 “Alf” and the 1980 book “Indian in the Cupboard”. Mrs. Eargle’s favorite TV show was the 1972 “Fat Albert” along with her favorite book series the 1941 “Curious George”. Finally, Mrs. Sweet’s favorite show was 1993 series “Boy Meets World” and the 2005 “Twilight” series.

Along with our counselors, our principal Karen Mauer-Smith says her favorite show was the 1969 “Scooby Doo”. Mr. Lindh’s favorite show being the 1979 “Star Blazers”, along with Mrs. Gallow’s favorite show being the 1995 “Freakazoid”.

When asking fellow Lancer students, we heard very similar books and shows such as Goosebumps, Teen Titans, Backyardigans, Clifford the Big Red Dog, Fraggle Rock, Berenstain Bears, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Boondocks, The Doodlebops, Looney Tunes, Hungry Caterpillar, Magic Treehouse, Jake and the Neverland Pirates, Spongebob, and Saved by the Bell.

Hope you enjoyed your ride on the Lakes memory train, our childhood memories bring us together in ways we’d never think but your inner child always shines through.
