June 2, 1953, Elizabeth became the queen. She was third in line for the throne behind her father and uncle. During WWII she joined the Women’s Auxiliary Territorial Service, from there she was promoted to junior commander. When she was just 21, she and Phillip married on November 20,1947. Prince Charles was born on November 14, 1948, this was the first child she had. Princess Anne was the Queens only daughter. Prince Andrew and Prince Edward are the younger of the 4 children. On September 9, 2015, the Queen celebrated 63 years of ruling. Sadly, through her 96 memorable years of life, she passed away on September 8, 2022.
