Bellevue Invitational Meet

This past weekend our boy’s and girl’s cross-country team had a meet at Bellevue. They decided to enter in the meet at the last minute due to the cancellation of their own Fort Steilacoom Invitational. They weren’t the only schools who decided to enter last second either. Many of the other schools who were to participate at the canceled invitational joined the meet as well.

Last “winter” cross country season, Lakes had the best boys’ varsity team  in our league,  led by Cruz Corvin and Zander Trevino.  The girls’ varsity was second, led by Kivi Johnson and Savanna Hardmen. They are hoping to do as well or even better than they did last season with a few different additions to both of their varsity team. They also my have one of the best JV boy teams now too.

At the Bellevue meet there were nineteen runners who were able to get a new personal records. Coach Clark was also able to see both Cruz (15.03.6) and Zander (15:58.1) run 3.1 miles under 16 minutes. This is a huge achievement to see two of your best runners and many others perform at one of the highest points so early in the season.
