Yesterday, April 22 of 2021, Magnus Neil beat the school record for the 50 freestyle. The last fastest time was 21.60. Magnus made 21.23, surpassing the record 35 years later from 1985.

Lakes’ swim coach, Madelyn Tallon, stated, “This is a huge accomplishment in any season, but todo it with all restrictions this season is definitely worth celebrating. If you see him around or are ever by the pool, be sure to congratulate him!” 

With just a week left in the season, Magnus intends to drop his time even lower.
