The Seattle Seahawks finally made some noise in NFL free agency by giving Seahawks wideout Tyler Lockett a four-year, $69.2 million contract extension that includes $37 million guaranteed (First reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter). Lockett was on the last year of his 3-year contract that he signed in 2018. This signing was well deserved for Lockett because he has had his three best seasons of his career since signing his contract in 2018. Since then, he has had 28 receiving touchdowns and 3,076 yards. This was a big move for the Seahawks because this means Lockett will be a huge part of this franchise’s future. Reports have been surfacing that Quarterback Russell Wilson could leave, so this is good news in a way for him to stay. Me personally I love this move. A receiver like Lockett is valuable and any team In the NFL would start him. Keep surrounding Russell Wilson with as much weapons as possible. We already got a glimpse this past season of Wilson throwing to his top receivers Lockett and Metcalf. It was a deadly combination with those two receivers and Wilson. If Russell Wilson stays with this franchise and a siding all potential injuries, the Seahawks will be back to competing for Super bowls soon.
