Joe Biden’s first 2 months while being president

In his first day in office, Biden moved to “dismantle a slew of Trump-era regulations” and took measures to increase the nations Covid-19 response. Biden has also ordered better environmental protections and made changes to immigration policy. Hours after being elected president, Biden signed 17 executive actions and 15 will be executive orders, all of which will be reversals from Trump’s policies. He has also added a mandate to wear masks and practice social distancing, which is a noticeable change from Trump’s approach with Covid-19. Biden has also plans for the US to rejoin the World Health Organization and will be sending Dr. Anthony Fauci, the top infectious disease expert in the US. On the 5th executive order, Biden froze student debt collection, he is directing the education department to continue to freeze monthly payment and interest on federal student loans at least until Sept. 30. Biden plans to rejoin the Paris climate accords on executive order 6, he has signed an order to rejoin the Paris climate accords which Trump exited last year. He also plans to ban the “Muslim ban” which was a trump administration. These are just some of the things Joe Biden has done so far while being president, there are many to look forward to in the future but so far this is what we have.
