Vaccinations arrive in U.S. and Washington State

Ledger Staff

On Monday, the coronavirus vaccination arrived in the United States. Washington state received a shipment of 3,900 doses from Pfizer at the University of Washington Medical Center on Monday morning. New York began administering the vaccine Monday morning, enabling a pivotal moment for America’s fight against the virus.

In Washington, the vaccine is expected to be given primarily to nursing homes and front-line health care workers before others. UW Medicine will begin actual vaccinations early next week, focusing on their high risk workers.
