Quarantine Activities

Quarantine can be a very depressing and boring time for everyone, but we still need something to do to be active. Whether that is sports, walks outside, running with your dog, or even riding your bike around the town. Here is a list of different quarantine activities to be done inside or outside. 

  1. You can do facemasks and other skincare items and take care of yourself for a day. Maybe even get rid of all that acne caused by wearing masks all the time 
  2. Baking/Cooking, even if you were not good at it before now you have plenty of time to practice baking or cooking whatever you want. You can do these activities with the family you have in the house already, I’m sure they’d enjoy it too. 
  3. Go outside and practice your sport for school season or club sports. Listen to some music while doing so, improve your game and get a head start on the season. 
  4. Attempt to do some puzzles, it may be very time consuming but there is nothing better to do in these times. 
  5. Start doing yoga and other stretches, it could help with getting ready for any sports coming up. https://www.nytimes.com/guides/well/beginner-yoga
  6. Print out some of your favorite photos and make a scrap book of your favor activities you’ve done before and during quarantine. 
  7. Watch a lot of movies that maybe you put off before because you didn’t have enough time. Here are some ideas: “Inception”, “Parasite”, “Spirited Away”, “The Grand Budapest Hotel”, “Rocky”, and “The Princess Bride”.

These are only scratching the surface of the possible things that you can do during this quarantine. As long as you are staying at least six feet away from other people and wearing a mask in public spaces, do anything that makes you happy. Everyone needs to take care of their mental health right now.
