GIRLS WATER POLO

Girls water polo is showing a decline in numbers at Lakes Highschool. This intense sport requires a lot of skill- having to swim and maneuver through the water and throw the ball through the net. If you think you could do all of this and love swimming, sign-up next year at Mrs. Yearsley’s office in Student Accounts.

The Lancers got off to a good start at a private invite meet at Curtis High School-our Lancers came to perform. The Lancers 4×400 team ran an amazing time of 3:27.29 overall finishing in second place only losing to Tumwater High School by one second.

Lakes tennis has been off to a decent start but is looking to make improvements by the end of the season. When asked how the season is going Senior Ashley Eung replied,” It’s going okay. We’ve only played two games so far. We lost one and we won the other but overall, I think the team is doing very good.” Her goals for the rest of the season are to, “improve personally, get better serves, and hit with her back hand better.”
