Lakes Boys Basketball
Lakes High School is having a great season so far with the Lancers making it into the district playoffs. They played Gig Harbor in their league tournament and played a hard-fought battle and ended up winning 66-61. This win secured their spot in the next round. The Lancers traveled up to Vancouver to play against Prairie high school that resulted in a back in forth game; they ended up losing 61-66. The Lancers will later play Silas high school this Friday in a must win game. (Update: they ended up losing to Silas high school 52-68 ending their season).

Lakes Girls Basketball
The Lancers are having an excellent season with lots left to continue. The lancers punched their way into districts in a must-win game vs. Peninsula: loser goes home. The Lancers made a comeback with a back-and-forth game, winning 59-53. Next up on the Lancers list was Evergreen High School. Where they traveled all the way up to Vancouver, where the Lancers would end up losing 37-63. This wouldn’t knock out the Lancers yet, they played in, yet another must win game against Silas High School, to keep their season alive. The lancers had their home court advantage, and would go on to fight hard to the very last second ultimately losing 53-35 ending their season
