Animal testing is any scientific experiment on live animals that is likely to cause pain and suffering. According to the Humane Society of the United States, it is estimated that 50 million animals such as dogs, cats, monkeys, and more are subjected to inhumane experiments in the U.S every year. These animals are infected with chemicals, diseases and illnesses on purpose for experimentation. Also, animal experiments are outdated because animals don’t have the same anatomy as humans, so they don’t accurately depict how we will react to such chemicals. However, the world is changing and is now using human cells, tissues, organs, 3d printing, and other technologies as great alternatives. These experiments are way more humane and safe, and plus these experiments are less expensive and more accurate.

I am a senior and I go to Lakes High School, and I've been going to school here for three years now. I was born right here in Washington at Madigan. This is the first year I've taken journalism. My hobbies are listening to music and watching TV.
