The recent Northwest Drill and Rifle Meet held at Silas garnered immense success, showcasing the dedication and prowess of the participating cadets. Here’s a breakdown of the notable achievements from the event:
Physical Fitness:
Team #1 once again emerged victorious, clinching the 1st place trophy and securing the Division Champion title. Cadets Wyatt Blanchard, Gavin Thiessen, and Jackson Lord showcased exceptional performance, claiming the top three spots in the Individual Ironman Medals category. Meanwhile, Cadet Elira Blanchard shone brightly, earning both the 1st place Individual Ironwoman Medal and the Division Championship. With Team #1 ranking 1st and 2nd in the Division, they are set to compete in the upcoming Conference Championships.
Precision Rifle Marksmanship Team:
Dominating the competition, the Precision Rifle Marksmanship Team seized the 1st Place Team Trophy. Cadets McAvoy and West demonstrated remarkable skills, securing the 1st and 3rd top individual Precision shooter medals. The Sporter Rifle Team also left their mark by claiming the 1st Place Trophy, with Cadet Carl Sambuena emerging as the 1st place Individual Sporter Shooter medalist.
Armed Drill Team:
Under the leadership of Cadet Sergeant Major Tim Moser, the Armed Drill Team claimed the 2nd Place Team Trophy and earned a well-deserved 3rd Place in the Division, securing their spot in the Conference Championships.
Color Guards:
Led by Cadet First Sergeant Branasia Chinn, the Color Guards secured the 2
Individual Armed Exhibition Drill:
Cadet Jordyn Parson took the 1st Place Individual Medal and claimed the Division Championship. As the Division’s top Individual Driller, he will compete at the Conference Championships.
Dual Armed Exhibition Drill:
Tim Moser and Jacob Malo once again took the 1st Place medals, while newly formed team Jordyn Parson and Danny Casillas took the 3rd Place Medals for this meet. Moser and Malo held on to claim the Division Championship title and will proceed to the Conference Championships.
Dual Unarmed Exhibition Drill:
Cadets Palermo and Womack took 2nd place medals while Cadets Chinn and McCorkle held on to take the 3rd Place medals. Chinn and McCorkle captured 2nd place and Palermo and Womack grabbed 3rd place in the division rankings to secure their seats to the Conference Championships.
