4 University of Idaho Students Killed.
December 6, 2022
On November 13th, 2022, four college students were stabbed and killed. The four students were Ethan Chapin, Madison Mogen, Xana Kernodle, and Kaylee Goncalves. The police believe the crime happened between 3 or 4am, but the police were not called to the scene until 12pm when they were found. The police believe that this crime was targeted, but the case is still unsolved and don’t know who the suspect is.
On the night of the murder, they were out having fun like normal college students, and then headed back to their off-campus apartment around 1am. There was a total of 6 people living in the apartment and only 4 were stabbed to death. The other 2 roommates are not suspects and the police states that they slept through the attack. The police believe that this was a targeted attack but still have no suspect. Students are terrified and are leaving campus early and refuse to continue in person school. The University is offering online school for their students.
Not did this only affect the family and friends of the 4 students but everyone who lives around that area. 911 dispatchers have received many calls from families saying they hear a noise in their house or believe there’s an intruder because of how terrified everyone is. This has been a terrible time for everyone in Idaho especially the students’ families. It was realized that a day ago one of 2 students who were killed were best friends and died in the same bed. The police states that the case took a “twisted turn” and that they’re means of death don’t match. The father of Kaylee Goncalves believes the killer chose to go upstairs and target victims. This case is still unsolved and they’re still no suspect, but the police said because of how terrified everyone is they want to keep it classified for now.
