Alex Trebak passes away on November 8th, 2020

Alex Trebak was a Canadian American show host and television host. He hosted the Jeopardy game show for 37 seasons up until his death from cancer at 80 years old. He also was a part of various game shows such as the wizard of odds, double dare, high rollers, battle stars, classic concentration and to tell the truth. Trebak was born in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada on July 22, 1940, his first job was at 13 years old and he worked with his father as a chef. He attended to Sudbury high school and went to the University of Ottawa and graduated with a philosophy degree in 1961, he was also interested in a broadcast news career. Trebak began his career in 1961 by working for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and eventually would cover a wide range of special events like the CBC radio, CBC television and curling and horse racing. He began building up many events throughout 1961-1984 where in 1984 that’s where he started hosting jeopardy. Trebak married a broadcaster Elaine Callei in 1974, they had no children but adopted Callei’s daughter Nicky and had two children, Matthew and Emily. After a long struggle Trebak continued to host Jeopardy all the way up until his death by pancreatic cancer on November 19, 2020.
